About Wisconsin Medicaid
Wisconsin Medicaid is a state healthcare program provided for individuals with disabilities and people aged 65 or older. Many Wisconsin residents receive free or low-cost health care coverage through Wisconsin Medicaid.
Is BadgerCare Medicaid?
BadgerCare is a Wisconsin healthcare coverage program created by Gov. Tommy Thompson (effective from July 1999). It serves to provide healthcare coverage for Wisconsin residents who earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid, but whose employers don’t offer health insurance.
What’s the difference between Medicaid and Medicare?
Medicaid is a program run jointly between federal and state governments. Individual states create their own standards for eligibility, benefits and rates (meeting federal guidelines for minimum standards).
Medicare is a health insurance program run by the federal government. Our Milwaukee podiatrists also accept Medicare!
